Michael Porte
Founder, President, and Executive Creative Director Michael Porte has worked in mainstream and out of the box advertising for 30 years. With a resume that started with McCann Erickson, Ogilvy & Mather, J. Walter Thompson, and Hal Riney and Partners, working for clients such as Coca-Cola, Nike, Honda and Mexicana Airlines, to co-creating the first advertising-related social networking tool (before Facebook and even YouTube), Michael believes that the story is first and foremost, and he’ll use any medium to tell it from print and broadcast to social media and experiential adventures. The Field(social) is the eighth company that Michael has founded. His other ventures, include Mad River Post, audioEngine, Nth Degree Creative Group and Crush Digital.
Michael is a dyed-in-the-wool West Coaster who originally wanted to be a park ranger. Nevertheless, he has been living in New York for the last 16 years and speaks with what has been described as a Pound Ridge NY accent.
